Ilana Panich-Linsman is a photojournalist and multimedia producer based in Western Massachusetts. She is a frequent contributor to the New York Times.
In 2010 she was awarded the Lumix Multimedia Award at the Lumix Festival for Young Photojournalists in Hannover, Germany for her multimedia piece, Fifteen.
She is a 2009 graduate of International Center of Photography’s Documentary Photography and Photojournalism full-time program, where she was awarded the Director’s Fellowship.
She was a finalist at the New York Photo Awards, and was nominated for the World Press Photo Joop Suart Masterclass. Her work was shown in London in 2009 at the Foto8 Summer Show.
She is a graduate of the Platypus Workshop; Eddie Adams Workshop, Barnstorm XXII; and hold a bachelor of arts degree in studio art with an emphasis on photography from Scripps College in Claremont, California.
Ilana was born in Arizona, grew up in Western Massachusetts, and has lived in New York, California, London, and Spain.
