Bio

Ilana Panich-Linsman is a Brooklyn-based photojournalist and multimedia producer in the VII Mentorship program. She is a graduate of the Platypus Workshop (2005); Eddie Adams Workshop, Barnstorm XXII (2009); and the International Center of Photography’s Documentary Photography and Photojournalism full-time program (2009), where she was awarded the Director’s Fellowship.
She was born in Arizona, grew up in Western Massachusetts, and has lived in New York, California, the UK, and Spain. She holds a bachelor's degree from Scripps College in Claremont, California.
In 2009, she was a finalist at the New York Photo Awards and was nominated for the World Press Photo Joop Suart Masterclass. Her work will be on display in July 2010 at the Foto8 Summer Show in London.
On June 19, 2010, Ilana was awarded the Lumix Multimedia Award at the Lumix Festival for Young Photojournalists in Hannover, Germany.
